Three dashboards, three different numbers
Stripe shows one figure. Your accounting software shows another. Your MRR tracker shows a third. Each one measures something real, but fees, refunds, annual plans, failed payments and misfiled costs quietly pull them apart.
Most founders only notice when a pricing change, a hire or a tax deadline forces the question. This review shows you where the gaps are before that happens.
What we look at
We focus on the four places SaaS numbers most often stop agreeing.
Stripe to bank to books
Whether gross sales, fees, refunds and disputes are booked separately, so payouts reconcile to your bank and your revenue isn't understated.
Annual plans and deferred revenue
Whether annual and multi-month plans are spread over the subscription period, or showing up as one big month of revenue.
MRR vs accounting revenue
Whether the gap between your MRR and your recorded revenue can be explained, or whether discounts, failed payments or one-off charges are distorting it.
Cost of revenue and gross margin
Whether hosting, third-party APIs and support costs sit in cost of revenue, so your gross margin reflects reality.

- You already have an in-house finance team
- You need an audit, tax filing or statements for a bank or investor
Who does the review
Ayman Fatima, ACCA Affiliate and founder of The SaaS Ledger.
I work only with SaaS and subscription businesses, so I spend my days on exactly the problems above: Stripe payouts that don't tie out, annual plans booked as one month, and MRR that nobody can explain. Every review is done by me personally.
Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. It's how founders get to see how we work before deciding anything. There's no obligation to hire us.
Will you try to sell me something?
The video ends with what we'd fix and how. If you want help, you can reply. If not, the fixes are yours to make yourself.
What access do you need?
Read-only access to your billing platform and accounting software, or a few exports if you prefer. We'll never ask for passwords by email or through this form.
What happens to my data?
We use it only to prepare your review. When the review is done, you can remove our access and we delete any exports you sent.
Is this an audit?
No. It's a set of observations for your internal use. It isn't an audit, a review engagement or any form of assurance, and it isn't tax or legal advice.
Do I need an accounting background?
No. The video is in plain language and explains why each issue matters, not just what it is.
